The local area teens and young adults of an indigent area had lack of available outlets to express. Lack of facilities leads to violence and gangs. Funding for after school programs, music, and art classes had been dropped. The founder of Hip Hop was Afrika Bambaataa. He long with DJ Kool Herc, Busy Bee Starski, and DJ Hollywood, began organizing block parties in the Bronx area. This started the beginnings of hip hop. Further, it grew into what is known as the hip hop culture of today.

It will surely benefit the society, if people will try to embrace the culture rather than attack the culture.
