HIP HOP – A Voice for Voiceless People

3d_artThe Birth of Hip Hop has begun in the 1970s — It came into existence as a way to release and express the overflowing creativity and suppressed energy.  The local area teens and young adults of an indigent area had lack of available outlets to express.  Lack of facilities leads to violence and gangs. Funding for after school programs, music, and art classes had been dropped. The founder of Hip Hop was Afrika Bambaataa. He long with DJ Kool Herc, Busy Bee Starski, and DJ Hollywood, began organizing block parties in the Bronx area. This started the beginnings of hip hop. Further, it grew into what is known as the hip hop culture of today.

Hip Hop is not just the music, Hip Hop is a culture. Hip Hop has had a great influence on the black community in America, as well as society as a whole. It will surely benefit the society, if people will try to embrace the culture rather than attack the culture. Many organizations and facilities are providing spaces and programs to explore and learning about hip hop. Hip Hop is really fun now and that’s why people are using dance beats and singing more.

Hip-hop has created a culture that integrates art, politics, fashion, technology and urban life. Hip hop sounds and styles differ from region to region. The main components of hip hop are MCing, DJing, graffiti, and break dancing. It is very essential that the artists should have their own creativity and bring that creativity in the music element too. Graffiti is a form of expression of the hip hop culture that can be seen in various locations.

Depending upon the viewer, the graffiti’s form of expression can either be viewed as art or trash. Rap music has its own grace or feel to it. The rap music has a message to deliver, and sometimes even a story to tell. Break dancing is a unique form of dance, an ingenious expression of the hip hop culture. Break dancing can be performed with or without music, solo or as a group. One main thing that reflects the strong influence of hip hop is the style and clothing of the hip hop culture.

Many hip hop artists have their own clothing style that makes them unique. The style and clothing of the hip hop culture can also simply be a statement of the individual and his or her environment.

Hip hop has consummate beyond just music. Now a day, it has become a lifestyle and or we can say a culture for people worldwide. Hip hop is an attitude and hip hop is a language. Street language is transmitted to the hip hop culture through rap music. Even if hip hoppers have different first languages, they still can understand the slang of hip hop.Save
